Description
The goal of the preliminary project is the proof of value of a new IT ecosystem, the setup of a proof-of-value laboratory, a market inquiry, and the concretization of the value propositions and cost estimates for an implementation project.
The new ecosystem is intended to enable series-independent delivery of application software that can be developed more cost-effectively and delivered significantly faster to customers. This offers a flexible solution for current and future series and vehicle models—which not only noticeably impacts development and maintenance, but above all enables degrees of freedom for procurement projects ("moving from single-source components to multi-source components").
The aim is to deploy the system on the existing IT infrastructures across all series without having to adjust the existing hardware, while also being cloud ready.
Tasks:
- Advising on the implementation of the preliminary project, including organizational and content-related aspects
- Collaborating with identified stakeholders to define requirements for the IT platform
- Contributing to the specification and implementation of the proof-of-value lab
- Advising and supporting the introduction of agile organizational forms for the preliminary project
- Developing an initial target vision for the transformation of the existing vehicle IT organization
- Effective stakeholder management to ensure smooth project execution
- Organizing and leading workshops with various interest groups to gather requirements for the comfort IT platform
- Advising and preparing vendor meetings as part of the market inquiry
Requirements
- Proven track record in developing and implementing agile organizational forms
- At least 10 years of experience in large corporations, specifically in the rail environment, in IT, with leadership experience
- Project management know-how (Prince2, PMP or IPMA Level B certification)
- Background knowledge of vehicle IT platforms and their future integration into rail vehicles
Desirable:
- Experience in organizational development
- Project management methods expertise, agile methods
- Experience in development management and modeling scalable platforms
- Experience in stakeholder management, including at board level
- Know-how in IT procedures, processes, and operations in the rail context
