Description
For our client company in the energy supply sector, we are looking for a Market Intelligence Analyst Gas & Oil (m/f/d). The project focuses on creating a market forecast for the onshore segments Drilling, Fracking and Well Servicing, as well as analyzing market and demand developments in the oil and gas sector.
- Creation of a market forecast for the subsegments Drilling, Fracking and Well Servicing in Oil & Gas focusing on onshore
- Analysis of market trends for gas and oil, regional changes in supply and demand, and geopolitical dynamics with performance needs for drilling and fracking in the USA
- Modeling quantitative market scenarios based on global developments and deriving a 3 to 5 year forecast for each subsegment
- Interface management with sales and product teams to validate findings
- Independent preparation of presentations and decision-making materials for management
- Advising on the interpretation of analysis results and their strategic relevance
Requirements
- Understanding of the dynamics of the oil and gas industry and their impact on service scope
- 3–5 years of professional experience as an analyst in the oil and gas sector
- Knowledge in the upstream onshore area, especially drilling rigs, boreholes, fracking
- Solid knowledge of information sources for subsegments and regions in the oil and gas sector
- Ability to derive relevant insights from complex data sets
- Experience working with large and complex data sets
- Excellent analytical skills, creative problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly recognize relationships and explain them logically and precisely
- Very good skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Ideally, experience in the upstream onshore area
