Description
- Ensuring that access roads are built and prepared according to NKT guidelines
- Monitoring the proper construction of:
- cable payout sites
- thrust pits
- other relevant structures
- Checking transport on the last mile to the cable payout site
- Monitoring the cable pull at the payout site and in the thrust pit
- Collaborating with the civil engineering supervisor on:
- backfilling thrust pits
- dismantling access roads and payout sites
- ensuring the compliant execution of joint pits according to NKT guidelines
- Supervising the proper connection of joints
- Overseeing the blowing in and splicing of fiber optic cables (FOC)
- Coordinating with the civil engineering supervisor on backfilling joint pits
Requirements
- Completed degree in civil engineering or comparable qualification
- Experience in civil engineering or construction
- Desired: experience in cable installation, cable pulling, and joint assembly
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. HSE standards, requirements of the planning approval decision)
