Description
A publicly traded media company is looking for an experienced Smart TV Application Developer to develop and deliver innovative smart TV applications. The project goal is to create and optimize apps for various smart TV operating systems that provide seamless video streaming experiences.
The role includes developing applications focused on web-based platforms, video streaming technologies, and integrating video players. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of cross-platform delivery, DASH/HLS protocols, TV-specific UI/UX patterns, and DRM technologies.
- Develop smart TV applications with a focus on web-based platforms and video streaming technologies
- Create and deploy applications for multiple smart TV operating systems (Tizen, Vidaa, webOS)
- Integrate video players (Shaka Player, AVPlay)
- Cross-platform delivery and optimization (DASH/HLS protocols, TV-specific UI/UX patterns, embedded systems)
- Implement DRM technologies (Playready, Widevine)
Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge with many years of professional or project experience in smart TV development and in creating/deploying applications for multiple smart TV operating systems (Tizen, Vidaa, webOS)
- Strong expertise in video player integration (Shaka Player, AVPlay)
- At least 3 years of experience using TypeScript
- At least 3 years of experience creating DASH/HLS protocols
- Knowledge of TV-specific UI/UX patterns and DRM (Playready, Widevine) is a plus and desirable
