Description

A company is looking for an experienced specialist in process engineering and boiler technology. The aim of the project is to plan, coordinate and carry out complex construction measures as part of a new-build project, particularly in the areas of boiler technology and flue gas systems. The role includes supporting planning companies and contractors, quality assurance, as well as budget and schedule monitoring.

Requirements

  • Responsible support and quality assurance for the appointed planning companies and contractors.
  • Independent schedule planning and budget monitoring.
  • Preparation of decision papers for problem-solving, including an assessment of technical, scheduling and commercial aspects.
  • Assessment of technical changes with regard to scope, budget and schedule.
  • Coordination with the plant management and operations departments.
  • Review and assessment of the mechanical engineering tender documents.
  • Support with contract awards and bid evaluation.
  • Management of detailed design and interface management between system suppliers.
  • Quality assurance during implementation, particularly as part of the 2028 and 2029 overhauls.
  • Collaboration with the Safety and Health Protection Coordinator (SiGeKo) and conducting Safety Walks.
  • Ensuring contract compliance and analyzing additional costs.
  • Completed master’s degree or diploma in process engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
  • Sound knowledge of plant and power plant engineering.
  • Project experience in boiler technology and flue gas systems as well as project management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Structured, proactive and cross-functional approach to work.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office; experience with SharePoint is desirable.
  • Fluent German, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating and carrying out complex construction measures.
