Description
We are looking for an experienced freelancer to document this workflow in our Atlassian system (Confluence & Jira). The goal is not to create a rigid, ISO-compliant set of rules, but a living, pragmatic reference guide created by developers for developers. The documentation should serve as a central reference that is intuitive to understand and enjoys a high level of user acceptance within the team.
Your Tasks & Deliverables
Building the Confluence reference page: Designing and structuring a clear landing page that serves as the "Single Source of Truth" for the new process.
Creating interactive process diagrams: Visualizing the entire planning and work package workflow. The diagrams must be interactive – employees should be able to click directly on individual process steps in the diagram to access the relevant detailed documentation (e.g. via draw.io, Gliffy or native Confluence macros).
Documenting the planning phase: Clearly describing, step by step, the planning process that precedes the 3-month cycles (Who does what, when and with which output?).
Defining the work package structure: Providing detailed guidance on how a 3-month work package must be structured in terms of content. What are the required fields, prerequisites, Definition of Ready/Done and objectives?
Jira workflow integration: Describing the operational handling. The entire process is mapped in Jira. You will document the lifecycle of the Jira tickets, required status transitions and how board management works in practice. Jira board setup.
Requirements
Proven experience in technical writing and process documentation, ideally in an R&D, hardware or embedded environment.
Atlassian power user: In-depth expertise in Jira and Confluence (including links, macros, Page Properties and dynamic content).
Strong skills in process visualization and experience with interactive diagramming tools.
A pragmatic, user-focused approach: You write easy-to-understand guides instead of dry prose.
