Software engineer and consultant with over 15 years of experience developing and modernizing business software. I have been developing Java since 2006 and Spring Boot and Angular since 2014, including seven years working full-time at the University of Salzburg on a microservice platform (Spring Boot, Eureka, ZUUL Proxy) with a consistent Angular frontend. After that, I worked with Java and Angular on public-sector web portals and with Java in the CMS environment. My focus in recent years has been AI Engineering: agent systems that run in production. This includes a local AI desktop assistant for company data using RAG and a knowledge graph, a multi-tenant platform with its own MCP server providing 24 tools, and a production lead platform built from FastAPI microservices with LLM-based classification and human-in-the-loop approval. I run models in the cloud (Claude, OpenAI, Mistral, Azure AI Foundry) as well as locally on my own hardware.

For working with coding agents, I use Specification-Driven Development. To support this, I built my own toolkit (Spec, Task, Review and Verify as commands) and help development teams introduce it. This is especially valuable when modernizing existing software, because its established behavior must first be documented before it can be replaced.

Consulting is part of implementation for me: gathering use cases, defining the target vision, realization and handover to the team. As a speaker and seminar leader (including at Austrian Standards and LIMAK Austrian Business School), I regularly share this knowledge with teams, both on-site and remotely. I include legal frameworks such as the GDPR and EU AI Act from the start.
