Summary
After more than 35 years of professional experience, including over 25 years in leadership roles in public companies, healthcare and social services, hospitals, industry and manufacturing, trade, and more, I have strong skills in strategic procurement management, negotiation strategies for public tenders, and building or reorganizing structures and processes. Since the beginning of this year, I have been part of the IHK Academy's pool of instructors. I also often give seminars on handling public procurement.
Additionally, I have high practical expertise in setting up IT/telecommunications and indirect procurement, which complements my profile. These topics have shaped my work for over 20 years, and I have successfully implemented them in various strategic, cross-departmental projects. My tasks have ranged from establishing or reorganizing procurement and tendering units to major change projects.
My well-developed network in the IT industry as well as in other relevant sectors such as facility management, services, energy, and more, is fully at your service.
My talent for thinking across business boundaries and finding new approaches to financing and service delivery has always been valuable for employers and clients. This ability repeatedly helped me recognize opportunities and successfully pursue initiatives, such as partnerships. For example, in the last three years of my role at Messe Berlin, I led a project where procurement generated €2 million in revenue.
I have more than 22 years of experience with public procurement, on both the client and supplier sides. Most of that time, I was responsible for procurement and the tendering office in public organizations. In total, I've handled over 400 EU procedures, plus many more below-threshold tenders. I prefer a value management approach because it delivers the best economic results. During this time, only two tenders were reviewed by the procurement review chamber, and both decisions were in favor of the processes I led.
I also have strong expertise in facility management and construction, which I demonstrated over the last 20 years as Head of Technical Services for the Heckscher Clinic and its sites.
For 20 years, supply chain, warehousing, and internal and external logistics have been part of my responsibilities. Back in 1997, at a company with a strong FMCG focus, I launched a fully digital process for warehousing and order picking, including seamless data exchanges with external logistics partners. As a result, we were able to handle 95% of transports through this process within just six months.
I was also one of five certified crisis management team leaders at Messe Berlin, taking charge during crises and emergencies.
