  • As part of a technology refresh, around 530 TB of data capacity (140 EMC Symmetrix systems, approx. 484 server systems) had to be migrated in 3 data centers (Fürth, Munich, Paderborn) to 17 EMC storage systems. The task was to monitor the service provider responsible for the migration as the project lead and to ensure SBS's own contributions. This included in particular:
  • Aligning the project strategy and project plans with SBS and EMC
  • Leading the PMO and coordinating the 3 subprojects
  • Certifying and approving the migration methods
  • Organizing and coordinating the contributions provided by SBS (especially resources)
  • Aligning schedules while taking customer SLAs into account
  • Ensuring change management
