Description
A company is looking for an experienced tester for subsea cables with an electrical engineering or physics background. The goal of the project is to advise and support cable tendering, cable qualification, and the definition and execution of tests during the project phase. The role includes working with bidders, defining requirements, and advising on test procedures to ensure the quality and functionality of the cables.
- Advising on cable tendering and cable qualification for the project phase
- Defining requirements for manufacturing, interim storage, installation, completion, and testing
- Contract negotiations with bidders
- Defining test requirements for all tests from type tests to Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Advising and defining test procedures: from production and FAT tests to type tests and Site Acceptance Tests
- Customizing test systems and methods for the project
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent electrical/physics background
- Several years of experience in the cable industry, especially in cable manufacturing and installation
- Experience with offshore park cabling and previous 66kV IAC projects with multi-contracting
- Knowledge of testing: from type tests to Site Acceptance Tests
- Ability to define test requirements and advise on testing procedures
- German language skills required
