Description
Our client is a telecommunications company. We are looking for a Senior Consultant / Expert to create detailed insight reports on the topics of artificial intelligence (AI), advanced materials, power electronics, microelectronics and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Tasks:
- Create detailed insight reports on the topics of artificial intelligence (AI), advanced materials, power electronics, microelectronics and advanced manufacturing technologies
- Analyze and assess research institutes, universities, private companies, hidden champions and startups in Austria regarding their innovation potential and technological capabilities
- Identify and evaluate potential partners for future R&D collaborations
- Prepare detailed reports on research focuses, technological breakthroughs, patents, scientific publications and commercial applications
- Assess technology readiness levels (TRL), market positioning and financial metrics of technology companies
- Present findings and recommendations to the client
Requirements
Solid knowledge in at least one of the following areas: A) Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning B) Advanced materials (e.g. metals, ceramics, glass, magnetic materials) C) Power electronics and energy technology D) Microelectronics and semiconductor technology E) Advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g. additive manufacturing, robotics, automation)
- Experience analyzing research and technology projects and assessing innovation potential
- Knowledge of patent analysis and evaluation of scientific publications
- Understanding of technology readiness models (TRL) and market entry strategies
Work experience:
- Several years of professional experience in technology consulting, innovation management or research and development
- Experience collaborating with research institutes, universities and technology companies
- Proven expertise in producing technical reports and analyses
- Experience identifying and evaluating potential cooperation partners
Methodical skills:
- Ability to systematically research, analyze and prepare complex technical information
- Experience working with databases, patent databases and scientific literature sources
- Knowledge of analysis methods such as SWOT, PESTEL or benchmarking
- Ability to model and evaluate technological and economic scenarios
Additional knowledge:
- Experience with technology and innovation networks in Austria
- Knowledge of the Austrian research landscape and its key players
- Experience conducting interviews or workshops with technical experts
- Familiarity with the requirements and standards of the high-tech industry, especially in hardware development
