Two years before the project started, the client had introduced agile ways of working in its DevOps department with moderate success. As part of my assignment, I drove the transition to a working agile operating model (Agile@Athlon), which moves away from supposed dogmas and fits the needs of a highly regulated environment (BaFin) and legacy systems that are several decades old.

Wirtschaftsbetriebe Duisburg (WBD) is changing its IT department to agile ways of working. In this context, a pilot project was launched to identify the hurdles for agile work in the semi-governmental environment of WBD.
The existing applications for geographic information systems are to be extended to allow offline operation in addition to the existing online mode with mainly server-side information processing. To do this, changes to infrastructure, application, GIS data, and workflows in the organization must be made and examined iteratively.

Trainer for Scrum and Kanban
Since March 2023, I have been active as a trainer for Scrum and Kanban, combining my own passion for agile ways of working and sharing knowledge. I offer both open trainings and in-house trainings.
My Scrum trainings are based on Scrum.org certifications and prepare participants for PSM I, PSM II, PSPO I, PSPO II, and SPS. My focus is on building a deeper understanding of why Scrum is used.

The client built and launched Germany's largest streaming platform in a 300-person SAFe-scaled environment. As part of this, I led the transition of the infrastructure/DevOps team from Scrum to Kanban, as well as the increase in maturity to level 3 according to the Kanban Maturity Model.
As part of the company's OKR cycles, I facilitated my team's OKR sessions, which mainly consisted of laddering. In addition, I worked as a Kanban consultant for other members of the RTL+ Agile department and, among other things, delivered trainings and coaching for the solution level.
