Description
For an external assignment at an end customer in the public sector, we are looking for your expertise in Fortigate/Fortinet. The project takes place within an existing production environment, renewing the firewall and updating firewall systems and security landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Configure and operate Fortinet products, especially Fortigate firewalls
- Integrate into existing systems with many firewalls
- Process and implement firewall change requests
- Communicate with internal teams in data centers
- Participate in quarterly patch days
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Fortigate and Fortinet products
- Experience with firewall configurations in complex environments
- Understanding of organizational processes in the public sector
- Willingness to travel (on-site in southern Germany every 2–3 weeks)
- Experience with firewall change requests
Nice to have:
- Experience in the public sector
- Knowledge of IPv6, BGP, VRP, IPsec
- Experience with switching (e.g., Cisco)
- Bonus: Knowledge of Genogate
