Description
As part of enhancing reporting and analysis capabilities in Business Continuity Management (BCM), the existing BI landscape is being migrated from Tableau to Microsoft Power BI. The goal is to build a future-proof, scalable data warehouse that provides a consolidated data foundation for company-wide reporting. At the same time, existing reporting features and automations in the standard software HiScout will be analyzed and adjusted to meet new requirements.
- Consulting: Advising on the architecture and setup of a data warehouse based on Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, Power BI)
- Migration: Supporting the migration of existing reports and dashboards from Tableau to Power BI
- Data Analysis: Analyzing existing data sources and designing suitable ETL workflows
- Automation: Connecting and automating data sources
- Requirements Analysis: Conducting requirements analyses and creating technical concepts for reporting adjustments in HiScout
- Reporting: Implementing and testing reporting adjustments in HiScout
- Documentation: Quality assurance and documentation of completed work
- Training: Advising on the creation of training materials and transferring know-how to internal teams
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, especially in building complex dashboards, DAX, and Power Query
- Experience in designing and operating data warehouse architectures based on Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficient with ETL processes and common ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory)
- Practical experience in migrating BI systems, ideally from Tableau to Power BI
- Knowledge of reporting requirements in the BCM environment is an advantage (not mandatory)
