Description
The People & Culture Director will develop and deliver strategies to maintain a sustainable, productive and competent workforce, in order to support the hotel operational needs; this will include but not exclusively to attract, develop and retain talent through workforce planning, leadership development, learning, performance management, talent acquisition, team member relations, compensation and benefits, work place safety programs and other People & Culture strategies.
- Passion for the industry and pro-active awareness of luxury market trends
- Consistently demonstrates sound technical knowledge of hotel service delivery and People & Culture practices
- Good understanding of talent management strategies
- With an eye for detail and excellent organisation skills, a strong team player with a positive, collaborative approach
- Communication skills will be excellent and ability to manage stakeholders at varying levels
- Ability to affect change and behaviours within People & Culture and influence at all levels across the hotel
- Competency to measure and use KPI’s and interpret and communicate results in order to help the company achieve its business goals and to make sound day-to-day business decisions
- Inquisitive and analytical mind set, attention to detail and problem-solving oriented
- Is aware of changes in employment legislation and takes appropriate action to ensure that the hotels are compliant with the law
- Ability to effectively manage union relationships
- The People & Culture Director will ensure effective communication and engagement strategies that support the hotel teams in achieving their business and strategic goals in line with the hotel’s objectives to drive the company’s unique culture and philosophy.
Requirements
- Demonstrable extensive experience in Strategic Human Resources leadership
- BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from business or hotel school
- Human Resources Professional Accreditation ie, CIPD - level 7 or equivalent
- Fluency in German & English required
- Familiarity with the luxury hotel industry
