Description
- Advising on the specification of new, needs-based finance requirements as part of migrations in transformational projects and optimization measures in the finance area – taking into account underlying business models
- Creation of control aspects and implementation of control mechanisms to ensure the completeness and correctness of finance-relevant migration objects – both in the design phase and during migration execution
- Preparation of information and decision-making bases for management
- Development of an end-to-end process view, including upstream processes, source systems, and interfaces – incl. alignment with accounting standards under IFRS and HGB
- Identification and development of optimization potential to improve data quality and information granularity in target systems – in close cooperation with finance specialists
- Advising on the structured management of migration requirements within transformation initiatives and carrying out accompanying tracking
- Development and further development of quality measures along the value chain, taking into account all relevant business transactions, reporting requirements, and optimization approaches
Requirements
Technical Expertise
- Solid knowledge in finance transformation, especially in migration projects
- Experience in specifying finance requirements in the context of complex ERP migrations (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, legacy systems)
- Understanding of the impact of migrations on accounting processes, chart of accounts, and financial reporting (IFRS & HGB)
- In-depth knowledge in end-to-end consideration of finance processes, including upstream systems and interfaces
Migration & Control Competence
- Experience in defining and implementing control mechanisms to ensure data quality in migration objects
- Ability to create and implement audit-proof migration concepts and test plans
- Routine in preparing management information to steer critical migration decisions
Process Optimization & Quality Assurance
- Ability to analyze weaknesses in data flows and processes
- Experience in developing measures to increase data quality, consistency, and reporting capabilities in target systems
- Know-how in deriving and implementing quality assurance measures along the finance value chain
