Description

A company is looking for an experienced Chief Information Security Officer who has solid consulting experience and has already worked with public enterprises or authorities. The target group includes organizations with around 500 employees.

The project aims to develop and implement the information security strategy and ensure that all security policies meet legal requirements. The CISO will work closely with internal teams as well as external stakeholders to minimize security risks and protect the company’s IT infrastructure.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy.
  • Conduct risk analyses and identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with authorities and public institutions to comply with legal regulations.
  • Advise internal teams on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Monitor adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Lead cybersecurity awareness training.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chief Information Security Officer or in a similar leadership role in information security.
  • Experience in consulting and working with public enterprises or authorities.
  • In-depth understanding of security standards such as ISO 27001 or BSI basic protection.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements in the public sector in Germany.
  • Excellent communication skills in German; English skills are a plus.
  • Ability to clearly analyze complex security issues and propose solutions.
