Business and Technology Advisory for New Contact Center Solution
Swiss banking group
The banking group needs to select a new product for a multi-channel contact center as their old system is getting end of life. A new solution needs to be selected that can replace existing functionality and fix current shortcomings, but is also ready for future ambitions, especially for outbound and automation.
The process required documentation of existing system functionality and data flows, target data and integration architecture and definition of viable AI use cases. A catalogue of functional and non-functional requirements has been defined and a set of product offerings had to be compared in an RFP process. For special topics dedicated workshops with selected vendors have been performed. Finally a POC competition has compared the actual implementation of use cases on the products for hands-on testing and user experience.
I have advised on business architecture, KPIs and technical architecture including a potential multi-cloud setup. A special challenge is the integration with existing (legacy) technologies and systems. Compliance with Swiss banking regulations in regards to data protection and security are key in this process.

A new formed architecture group needed training and advisory of how best to support the insurers application landscape. A documentation of the As-Is architecture was key to create as a starting point. Then training of senior management and the architecture group was necessary to bring people up to speed on modern architecture concepts including low-code, artificial intelligence and secure multi-cloud setups. Finally, a target architecture had to be created for a new business initiative to digitize and streamline the entire marketing, sales and onboarding process of customers eliminating manual steps and data silos towards an omni-channel architecture offering. Consideration of regulatory requirements in the healthcare and insurance industry.
I have created As-Is and target architecture, a process for managing architecture artifacts as well as selecting technology options for the various building blocks based on open-source and commercial products. Finally, an implementation roadmap, integration architecture and effort estimations have been provided for a scaled agile implementation setup (Scrum at Scale).
