• Assumed responsibility for the overall project IT as Interim CTO for one of the largest European infrastructure projects in the energy sector, with 8 locations and approximately 4500 users
• Developed and provided the technical operating platform and related services such as data integration, automation & reporting, helpdesk, on-site support, user and asset management, roll-out management, operational IT security, service operations, infrastructure & platforms, and collaboration tasks
• Spun off the division into a Shared Service Center for 3 of Germany's 4 transmission system operators, including the design of all relevant processes, vision, mission, values and establishment of the new company
• Restructured and modernized project IT into a scalable, automated and integrated platform for >15 grid expansion projects with ~7500 users at 12 locations
• Consistently aligned the IT strategy with Cloud First, migrating on-premise and cloud environments to a central cloud platform with shared services, focusing on automation and ML/AI integration
• Transitioned the organization to a value-stream-driven operating model based on SAFe, implemented a standardized support model, evaluated and reselected the Managed Service Provider, including EU procurement procedures
• Prepared a Sovereign Cloud approach, provided functional leadership for Enterprise Architecture, and established an Information Security Management System (ISMS) for ISO 27001 and BSI certifications
• Built a highly automated and integrated IT platform with a shared services model, consolidated costs and personnel by ~30%, and introduced a monitoring and alerting system with AI-based reporting
