• Designed and built Falnic's design system from the ground up following a company-wide rebrand, including reusable components and design tokens built to scale across multiple brands (including sister brand a4baz) and future brands; defined governance for how the system evolved, including how new components were proposed and approved, and wrote documentation and onboarded teammates on adoption to ensure consistent, efficient use across the organization, using AI tools to help generate, document, and optimize components and guidelines, reviewing AI outputs for accuracy and bias before use. Adopted across 3 departments, reducing one-off component creation and design inconsistency.
• Defined color, spacing, and typography design tokens and coordinated CSS variable naming directly with developers (e.g. --color-primary, --spacing-md); wrote system documentation and walked the development team through it in a dedicated session to ensure accurate implementation.
• Collaborated closely with product managers, IT managers, and development, marketing, and sales teams within an Agile workflow using Jira, applying Design Thinking methodology and using personas and user journey mapping to align on needs and inform product decisions. Contributed to product roadmap and strategic direction, not just design execution.
• Mentored a junior colleague who wanted to move from product management into design, supporting her learning throughout her journey to becoming a designer.
