Summary
Basically, I’m a consultant of the old school and try to solve problems in a sustainable way—if a customer no longer calls me about the same problem, I’ve done my job well. Based on this approach, my assignments are often expanded and extended beyond the original project goal to achieve lasting, sustainable change.
To do this, I use the First-Principles approach and try to find the root cause of a problem. I then work with the customer to develop solutions and support their implementation as a peer: wherever possible, I work as part of the departments involved and with the employees ultimately affected.
Given how closely IT is connected to every aspect of business today, I involve all stakeholders, from management and controlling to compliance and data protection, as well as UI/UX and customers. I understand how to translate and manage the very different requirements and needs of all stakeholders for one another.
Outside of development, my current focus areas are process consulting, software and system architecture, and web and cloud technologies.
