Project: Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) Strategic Programme

• Analysed and documented existing data flows across card products and geographic regions to assess PCI DSS compliance.

Project: Denmark ATM Outsourcing Project

Objective: Outsource ATM operations and maintenance to a third-party provider while expanding the Denmark ATM fleet, with Nordea retaining ownership of ATMs and cash for the existing and extended infrastructure.

• Led a cross-functional delivery team (project management, business analysis, and architecture) and documented the as-is ATM ecosystem architecture, including end-to-end data flows, integrations, and internal/external application interfaces.
• Designed end-to-end processes for authorization, reconciliation, and settlement, aligning operating model, controls, and compliance requirements across Nordea and the outsourced service provider.
• Produced high-level and low-level solution designs using standardized UML artefacts (Use Case, Component, and Sequence diagrams) to support vendor onboarding, integration planning, and implementation.
• Ensured architectural alignment and decision-making across enterprise stakeholders and third-party providers, managing dependencies and interfaces in the context of the outsourcing initiative.

Project: Core Data Platform Programme and Security Master

The programme focused on building a scalable, event-driven, microservices-based data platform to support enterprise-wide integration, governance and consumption of critical financial data, including security master, trade, order, and portfolio data domains.

Architecture & Design:

• Designed and implemented Event-Driven Architecture, Microservices Architecture, Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), and Data Virtualization capabilities to support scalable and efficient data integration.
• Led the architectural design for the Security Master domain and its integration with Eagle Data Management (BNY Mellon) via EagleML and proprietary APIs.

Data Modelling & Governance:

• Developed conceptual, logical, and physical models for the Security Master Data domain.
• Implemented cross-layer data mapping strategies using a platform-independent metadata architecture.

Contributed to the design and development of Zurich Insurance's Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) as part of a strategic initiative for Commercial Lines, aligning with IBM's Insurance Application Architecture (IAA) and Insurance Information Warehouse (IIW) reference models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designed the logical and physical data models for the EDW using formal, rigorous modelling techniques to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Analyzed the existing reference data model implementing subtypes and relationships (Types and Natures in IBM terminology) and developed tools to generate the corresponding logical model.
• Integrated CA ERwin models and reference data models into a unified logical model in Sparx Enterprise Architect via XMI-based metadata exchange.
• Applied graph theory to reference data visualization, enabling advanced data analysis and mining.

Led the design and implementation of a Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) solution to automate the generation of XSD-based canonical models, supporting a suite of enterprise integration initiatives at Maersk.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Developed a model-driven solution aligned with OMG MDA best practices, using the Maersk Enterprise Logical Data Model (ELDM) as the Platform-Independent Model (PIM), maintained in a CA ERwin 8.x Model Mart repository.
• Extracted ELDM metadata in XML Metadata Interchange (XMI) format and applied XSLT transformations to generate the Platform-Specific Model (PSM) as an XSD-based Canonical Data Model.
• Defined message formats and data exchange standards based on the canonical model to support services architecture, data modelling, data mapping, and SOA governance.
• Led end-to-end integration efforts with legacy systems, including service orchestration and the implementation of data transformation tools.
• Provided technical leadership across onshore and offshore teams for service implementation and delivery.
