Description
A company is looking for an experienced software developer to build safety-critical systems for the defense sector. The goal is to design and implement robust software solutions from concept to delivery. The focus is on using modern technologies like Java (Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, JavaFX, OSGi, JFoenix, EMF) and/or C++ (C++14/17) to develop high-performance applications for Windows and Linux (AlmaLinux/RHEL), including specialized hardware and embedded systems.
The role includes developing and integrating various interfaces, for example for cryptography, mapping, or specialized hardware components. The candidate will work in agile processes and collaborate closely with colleagues, project teams, and customers. Quality assurance through automated tests and emulators in a CI/CD pipeline is a core part of the work.
The projects are diverse and offer responsibilities in architecture, system integration, test automation, as well as specialized areas like GPU-based signal processing. Communication with internal and external stakeholders and close collaboration with project teams and customers are also part of the role.
- Responsibility for the entire development cycle (requirements analysis, architecture & design, implementation, testing & validation)
- Development of (hardware-near) applications
Requirements
- Experience with Linux, real-time software development, embedded systems, continuous integration & delivery, unit testing, and test automation
- Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Profinet, LIN) is a plus
- Familiarity with tools like Nexus, Maven, CMake, Jenkins, GitLab, Google Test (unit testing framework), Cucumber, Matlab, Simulink (also welcome: DOORS, Enterprise Architect, RTOS, Qt)
- Programming skills in C++ and Java (also welcome: C, Python, Rust, Perl)
- Dutch citizenship or residence in the Netherlands required
