Michael Voigt

In my more than 20-year career in the automotive industry, I have gained extensive experience, first in product development and later as a freelance management consultant. Since January 2007, my focus has been on project and quality management, process optimization, supplier development, audit qualification and interim management.

Audit qualification took me several times to Japanese customers on site to prepare upcoming customer audits from VW Asia. Several projects on this topic then led to a total of eight months of project work in Japan. During my freelance work I also worked in many European countries, the USA and Tunisia. Intercultural teams are routine for me.

I am familiar with common norms and standards such as TS16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.x, requirements for EMPB/PPAP, as well as those of ISO 13485 (QMS for medical devices) and 21 CFR 821 (medical device tracking requirements). Capacity planning, launch readiness, APQP, coaching and review of FMEA, control plans, etc., creating and monitoring schedules, and all common quality and planning methods are consistently applied in projects. Leading teams and managing responsible tasks are part of my normal project scope.

Analysis and development of quality management systems as well as supplier development have been part of my portfolio for many years; troubleshooting, failure analysis, lean methods and implementing the TPM/TPS philosophy are also very often part of my work.

Through my highly international activities, especially during more than 3.5 years at Porsche AG, I have been able to demonstrate my intercultural competence many times. This, along with my proven leadership skills in numerous projects, my positive mindset and decisiveness, rounds off my profile as a management consultant and leader.
