Summary

Commercial manager and bid writer with over fifteen years in telecoms, utilities, streetworks and civils — from hands-on network delivery through to Contracts Director. I write bids from the delivery side: NEC4 contract management, rate structuring and risk-to-reward analysis sit alongside the quality responses, so submissions read like a company that can deliver rather than one that can only write.

Experience across full NEC4 Term Service Contract award and management, Master Service Agreement negotiation, public sector procurement including BDUK and local authority frameworks, and the compliance documentation SME bids depend on. Available for full submissions, overflow, holiday cover and short-notice deadlines.

  • Giganet – £24m, two-year build contract awarded. Contract secured and delivered under a full NEC4 Term Service Contract model; managed and grew the contract post-award.
  • CityFibre (Blackpool and surrounding area) – shortlisted to final three. Part of the bid submission team; unsuccessful solely on price. The awarded contractor subsequently halted the build, unable to deliver at the price submitted — the commercial position we held proved correct.
  • Netomnia – Master Service Agreement awarded for Bristol. Involved throughout the negotiation and award process.
  • Kent County Council (via CRW Networks) – £60k contract awarded for Wi-Fi upgrade across the library estate. Public sector procurement.
  • BDUK – Freedom Fibre, Derbyshire and Midlands lots (with Future Networks Inc). Bid consultant on submissions into the government-funded gigabit programme; submissions scored highly before the contractor withdrew from the process.
  • Funding applications: prepared the CITB Approved Training Organisation application and Welsh Flexible Skills Programme funding collateral for Future Networks Training.

Skills

  • Tender And Bid Writing: Pqq/Sq, Itt, Framework Applications, Bid/No-Bid Assessment, Submission Management

  • Public Sector Procurement: Bduk, Local Authority And Framework Processes
