Carl Zeiss Meditec AG

I developed an FE model in ANSYS WORKBENCH that serves as a digital twin to simulate the function of a test bench for virtual testing of intraocular lenses (IOLs). I independently planned and conducted material and test bench experiments. I then validated and verified the model with the experimental data.
I designed and simulated a new component for an IOL injector on my own and produced functional prototypes using additive manufacturing.

I designed over 10 fixtures and testing devices (e.g., milled and turned parts) in CREO PARAMETRIC made of plastics for optical and mechanical testing of intraocular lenses. I created precise and standards-compliant technical drawings according to DIN EN ISO 22081. I then produced functional prototypes using additive manufacturing (FDM, SLS).
I carried out mechanical tests (e.g., compression tests) and optical measurements of intraocular lenses.
I developed a precision calibration unit for a test device based on iterative FE simulation results in ANSYS WORKBENCH.
