As a consultant at ]init[, I had the opportunity to work on a government contract where I played a key role in building tools to automate a previously manual process. My focus was on building a complex multi-step form using React and Typescript.

My responsibilities included sketching out the architecture of the application and coordinating the integration of the React application into a Drupal page. Additionally, I ensured that all developers working on different parts of the project were able to communicate effectively and align their efforts towards a common goal.

Overall, I leveraged my expertise in React and Typescript to deliver a high-quality application that streamlined the administrative process.

Setup and build stable React app from MVP prototype. Laying groundwork for stable, efficient and accessible PDF viewing and annotation. Working together in a team of 4 to transform the first release candidate into an improved app adapted to the users needs. As a principal engineer I am responsible of choosing the right tools and technologies for development and maintenance as well as acting as an interim lead should the need arise.

The client wanted to build an e-commerce platform from scratch. I provided an extensive requirement analysis for their idea, complete with a list of needed developers and a development plan. I also provided a rough risk and cost analysis.

Planning, estimating, and preparing the rewrite of the Berlin.de service app. Providing insights regarding potential bottlenecks in the development process as well as risks and opportunities regarding the technology choice.

As a Senior Software Engineer Consultant at one of Germany's largest newspapers, I had the exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a brand new CMS for their digital product. While in this role, I faced a unique challenge as the project underwent a code freeze and was re-evaluated by the leadership team shortly after I joined.

In response to this situation, I took on the responsibility of conducting a comprehensive technical review of the existing code base. However, I went beyond the code itself and also examined the organizational and structural issues that were affecting the project's progress and efficiency. By analyzing the current state of the project from both technical and organizational perspectives, I was able to provide valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.

In summary, my role at the German newspaper involved conducting a thorough technical review, addressing organizational and structural issues, and engaging in direct communication with key stakeholders, including the CEO. By leveraging my technical expertise and analytical skills, I made a meaningful contribution to the project's re-evaluation and subsequent improvement efforts.

Working closely together with the company's backend team, I support them in delivering their first cross-platform native app based on React-Native.
