I have joined solarisBank to build the B2B platform for Digital Assets. The platform offered services for Digital Assets custody and brokerage.
As a hands-on tech leader I was responsible for designing and building the platform, hiring and mentoring the talented engineers, setting up the development and operations processes. In this project I was managing 20 engineers in 4 different teams (2 product development teams, 1 platform/infrastructure team and 1 cybersecurity team) and was directly reporting to the CTO of Solaris group.
Another substantial area of my responsibility was the regulatory compliance — as a licensed business, the project had to set up the processes and documentation in accordance with the legal framework defined by BaFin (German financial institutions regulator), and to participate in regular audits conducted by external firms.
