The new extension to the primary school in Kappesgärten in Bensheim was handed over as a turnkey project using a modular timber construction method with 84 prefabricated modules. On the ground floor, a canteen with kitchen and a multi-purpose room offer plenty of space for learning and socializing together. Nine classrooms, open differentiation areas, and a staff room have been created on the upper floor.
The entire building is barrier-free, with an elevator and modern sanitary facilities on all floors. A photovoltaic system on the roof and DGNS certification underscore the high sustainability standards. The façade, made of pre-grayed larch wood slats, gives the new building a natural, timeless appearance.

The apartment building in Zurich, built in 1938, is part of a perimeter block development and was renovated in 2010 to become the first Minergie-P-eco certified apartment building. The measures included extension of the entire north facade using modular timber construction.
