• Functional requirements management for DIVID, the Umweltbundesamt platform for administering the single-use plastics fund. Focus: entitled parties, sub-entitled parties, and benefit reports.
• Consolidation and analysis of specifications, Jira, Confluence, functional concepts, and UX designs. Independent structuring and delimitation of requirements, as well as identification of contradictions, gaps, and dependencies.
• Creation and quality assurance of implementable user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria. Preparation of decision alternatives and coordination with business, development, UX, and QA through team refinement.
• Conducting manual and technically assisted accessibility tests. Coordinating findings with QA and the Product Owner for further planning and implementation.
• Result: more consistent requirements, clearly defined processes and stories, and transparent open decisions. Separation of assumptions from confirmed requirements; better basis for implementation, refinements, and QA test cases.

• Hands-on development of AI-native product prototypes with specialized AI agents for research, requirements, business logic, UX/flow design, test case generation and quality assurance.
• Structured use and orchestration of AI agents through clearly defined roles, inputs/outputs and handover points; breaking down complex product tasks into verifiable work packages and iterative prototyping cycles.
• Establishment of human-in-the-loop quality gates to validate AI-generated results for functional correctness, consistency, completeness and feasibility; targeted rework cycles in case of deviations.
• Development of a regulatory GenAI/rules prototype for CRD VI with a structured decision flow, web UI, rule-based validation and automated test cases; iteration of the business logic through to a pilot-ready POC.

Project overview: The use of “Generative Pretrained Transformer” (GPT) technologies will greatly change the world of work in the coming years. ITZBund is developing a basic service for this purpose, which can be used by its 200 customers. This basic service is offered both on-premises and in the cloud. Launched in 12/23, production systems (based on the MVP) had already been successfully rolled out and operated for several authorities and federal ministries by 05/24.

Planning, execution & moderation of crisis communication and reputation management

AQIM is a non-profit organization based in Austria. An association of interim managers from Germany and Austria. Founded in December 2024. Multi-part training with workshops and consulting for preventive crisis communication, in cooperation with the founding members and those responsible for communication. To assess crisis potential for the market entry strategy and ahead of a digital campaign.

The project in a nutshell:

Consulting and training for the purpose of:

• Analysis of crisis potential as a new market entrant and its internet-based communication activities
• Planning and developing crisis communication with targeted measures
• Developing a crisis plan to minimize reputation risks in an emergency
• Conducting training and information sessions

Success:

• What started as a one-time consulting event for preparing an information campaign became a multi-part workshop on preventive crisis communication. This not only gave the organization expertise and confidence in the event of acute challenges, but also gave the participating interim managers new skills for their day-to-day work on assignments
• The workshop enabled those responsible to launch the information campaign that was being prepared at the time and planned for six months, as scheduled at the end of January 2026 on social media
• Careful scheduling and defining how to handle critical voices in terms of terminology and tone, as well as compliance rules, ensured a smooth start and run of a 3-month information campaign

Independent product design practice supporting startups and growing companies with enterprise SaaS, workflow architecture, product strategy, and AI-enabled product development.

• Deliver end-to-end product design for digital products, websites, and SaaS platforms, combining product thinking, UX, visual design, and implementation.

Medikamendo: E-health platform for digital repeat medication & follow-up prescriptions

• End-to-end implementation: UX conception, UI design, and frontend development for three connected portals (patients, medical practices, pharmacies).
• AI prototyping: Efficient creation of interactive prototypes using Figma and GitHub Copilot.
• Design system: Creation and continuous development of a consistent design system and UI components.
• Corporate design: Maintenance and further development of the consistent brand presence and websites.

• AI Integration (LLM & RAG): Designed and built an internal intelligent RAG system (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) based on LLMs, n8n, and vector data to automatically analyze technical documents and error logs.
• Design & Implementation: Designed a robust RS-232/UART communication interface for an SBC-based embedded device used to control medical shaker systems.
• Architecture & Protocol Design: Built a highly maintainable software structure (OOP, SOLID) and defined resilient, hardware-level communication protocols, including multithreading and advanced error handling.
• Quality Assurance & DevOps: Automated testing with xUnit, ran integration tests directly on the hardware target, and maintained technical documentation to strict medical technology standards via Azure DevOps.

• Technical lead of a four-person development team during the two-year redevelopment of the sonnenklar.TV travel portal with over 10,000 daily visitors
• Replaced an established legacy architecture based on Laminas (Zend Framework) and Elasticsearch with a headless platform based on TYPO3 LTS and MariaDB — consolidated two systems into one and significantly reduced operational and maintenance effort
• Built the frontend independently with Vue.js, Nuxt, TypeScript and TailwindCSS; developed most of the component library independently
• Migrated the editorial workflow for over 30 editors from a custom-built backend to the TYPO3 backend
• Significantly reduced loading times for core pages; continuous delivery via Jenkins and GitLab CI

Position ended due to operational reasons as part of staff reductions following the decline in demand in the travel industry.

I served as the Lead Designer for two cross-functional teams at Casavi, a software platform for property managers. Casavi is a central platform for all aspects of digital property management, which streamlines operations and business processes.

SmartTask: The team focuses on ticket management, workflow automation, AI integration, enhancing communication between property managers and their clients.

Customer app/portal: The team is dedicated to fostering community engagement among residents of managed properties. The customer portal in combination with the Casavi app solves the challenges for property and facility managers.

My role spans the full design lifecycle, covering UX/UI design, user research, usability testing, and strategic design planning, across Casavi's web platform, mobile app, and customer portals. Each team comprises around 10 members, including a project manager, designer, developers, and QA testers. I am also responsible for the accessibility assurance of the whole product.

Design unit role: In addition to my core responsibilities, I actively contribute to the development and maintenance of the company's design system and style guide ensuring consistency and scalability across all products. Mentor junior designers is my official and moral responsibility.
