- I advised federal and provincial counterparts on investment climate reforms, regulatory simplification, and digital governance to modernize state–business interfaces and unlock private capital. This included analyzing over 1,400 laws and procedures to streamline licenses, inspections and approvals, and supporting design of digital one-stop interfaces.
- In parallel, I co-led sector diagnostics under the Pakistan Country Private Sector Diagnostic (CPSD), including deep dives on pharmaceutical manufacturing and auto-parts, mapping 2,000+ auto suppliers and 700+ pharma firms to (a) build a granular view of the investable universe; (b) quantify the export potential; and (c) unlock >$150M in private investment opportunities and cut business compliance costs by $20M. Overall, these diagnostics identified multi-billion-dollar, long-term investment opportunities and a sizeable near-term pipeline in lower-regulation sub-segments, and translated them into concrete entry points, PPP structures, and JV/ contract-manufacturing models for IFC and third-party investors.
- My work also supported IFC transaction design in the GCC (c. US$50m of advisory-originated transactions) and was integrated into national investment-promotion platforms to increase deal visibility and investor confidence.
