Development of an AI-supported system for lead generation
As part of an in-house development project, a pipeline for automated lead generation was created as the second stage of a preceding system for project monitoring. Based on a list of freelance project URLs (freelancermap), qualified lead records are generated, including company, contact person, official and personal email address, and the appropriate form of address (informal/formal). The technologies used were Python (openpyxl, requests) as well as an LLM agent workflow in VS Code (GitHub Copilot Chat) with a custom slash command and extensive rule set; search APIs (Serper.dev) are connected for research. My tasks included the full concept and development. The core is a rule set of around 480 lines that guides the LLM agent deterministically through extraction, website and email lookup, duplicate matching (against existing provider lists), and the creation of a structured JSON output. Deterministic steps (Excel matching, web/email search, pattern derivation) were moved into Python helper scripts. Other requirements included validating the results through versioned blind runs against a reference, iterative refinement of the rule set, and a swappable search provider layer for cost and stability reasons.

About the technology
Fiori basics
SAP Fiori is SAP’s user experience layer for business software. It shapes the screens people use in S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite extensions, and related portals. Strong experts know how to turn complex processes into simple, role-based flows.
Common work
Typical delivery includes:
- building Fiori apps with SAP UI5 and Fiori elements
- configuring launchpads, catalogs, groups, and spaces
- connecting apps to OData services and backend APIs
- adjusting UI behavior for approval, order, and master data flows
Ecosystem skills
Good specialists work across SAP UI5, OData, CDS views, ABAP back ends, and S/4HANA integration points. They also understand theming, accessibility, and device-aware layouts. When Fiori runs through SAP BTP or a custom shell, those details matter.
When to bring help
Companies usually bring in freelance expertise when rollout work is urgent, when legacy SAP screens need a modern interface, or when a specific app needs cleanup. In Munich, this often fits teams working around manufacturing, automotive, finance, and enterprise operations that need tight SAP coordination. Remote support works well, but on-site sessions help with stakeholder reviews and process mapping.
What strong experts do
- translate business steps into clean Fiori flows
- spot poor OData design and fix it early
- keep extensions stable during SAP upgrades
- make apps consistent across desktop and mobile use
Quality signs
A strong SAP Fiori specialist can explain why a page uses a standard floorplan or a custom UI5 view. They test with real roles, not just sample data, and they understand launchpad setup, authorization impact, and backend data shape. Clear handover notes and maintainable code are good signs of quality.
Frequently asked questions
Need clarity? These are the questions we hear most often about SAP Fiori.
SAP Fiori is used to build the role-based screens people use inside SAP systems. It supports approval tasks, worklist apps, dashboards, object pages, and guided data entry. Companies hire specialists when they want business processes to feel simpler without changing the SAP core.
SAP Fiori focuses on modern, task-based user experiences, while SAP GUI is more screen-heavy and transaction-driven. Compared with Web Dynpro, Fiori usually gives a cleaner look and a more consistent experience across devices. The right choice depends on whether the goal is modernization, extension, or maintaining an older process screen.
A strong SAP Fiori specialist usually knows SAP UI5, OData, ABAP, and S/4HANA data models. Experience with CDS views, launchpad setup, theming, and basic accessibility is also valuable. If the app touches backend workflows, integration knowledge matters too.
Not always, but SAP Fiori work often depends on how much change sits behind the screen. A small UI fix may be straightforward, while launchpad design, OData issues, or extension logic usually need deeper expertise. If the app affects key business steps, senior help lowers rework.
Yes, many SAP Fiori tasks can be handled remotely, especially app development, bug fixing, and code reviews. In Munich, on-site time is useful for workshops, process mapping, and quick feedback with local stakeholders. A mixed setup often works best for SAP-heavy teams.
Ask which SAP Fiori app types they have delivered, how they handle OData and backend integration, and how they work with launchpad configuration. It also helps to ask how they test role-based access and mobile behavior. Their answers should sound specific, not generic.
No, SAP Fiori is most visible in S/4HANA, but it also appears in extensions, portals, and selected SAP landscapes that need a modern interface. Many companies use it to improve specific business flows rather than replace everything at once. The scope depends on the system landscape and rollout plan.
Look for clear app structure, good naming, stable data binding, and clean handling of errors and permissions. A strong SAP Fiori specialist should explain design choices and know when standard patterns are better than custom ones. Good handover documentation is a strong sign as well.
