Description
- Tax assessment and drafting of specifications, test cases and test results
- Derivation of impacts on core tax processes
- End-to-end view of data/processes to identify tax-relevant aspects
- Drafting of tax-related requirements and representing them to other business units and IT (local and global stakeholders)
- Design/consulting on system implementation design of tax-relevant processes in a complex process and system environment (over 60 upstream systems)
- Assessment and design of tax-relevant aspects in chart of accounts and business partners
- Planning and conducting training on newly developed tax processes, reports and use cases
- Creation of training materials and manuals to support users outside the tax department
- Presentation and defense of tax requirements in the project, up to director level
Requirements
Professional qualifications
- Degree in economics, tax law, industrial engineering or similar
- Several years of professional experience in corporate taxes, tax compliance or tax consulting with a process focus
- Solid knowledge of national and international tax law (esp. VAT, transfer pricing, withholding tax, etc.)
- Deep experience in analyzing and designing tax-relevant processes and data flows in ERP systems (e.g. SAP FI/CO, S/4HANA)
- Very good skills in requirements engineering and translating tax requirements into IT specifications
- Experience working with large, complex system landscapes (including integration of upstream systems)
Technical and methodological skills
- Experience in test management and defining and executing test cases
- Knowledge in creating functional designs, data flow diagrams and process models (e.g. BPMN)
- Proficient in using project management and documentation tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, MS Project)
- Experience with agile project methods (Scrum, SAFe) and traditional project approaches
- Familiar with compliance requirements and their implementation in IT systems
Personal competencies
- Strong communication and moderation skills – especially in dialogue with IT, business units and management
- Ability to convey complex tax issues appropriately to the audience
- High initiative, structured work and sense of responsibility
- Confident presence at management and director level
