Description
The B2B networking business of telecom providers is undergoing major changes driven by modern technology, increased use of Internet and cloud services, security, AI, and new regulations like NIS2, OT, skills shortages, and sustainability. At the same time, new players are entering the network market, such as vendors (LAN/WAN/Security), system integrators, and internet providers (fiber, FTTH). The customer buying center is also shifting – network decisions may now be made by other teams in the company (e.g., the CISO or IT department) with different needs and expectations of network providers. Terms like SD-WAN/-LAN, SSE, ZTNA, and the umbrella term SASE are established in the market. The task is to develop a concept for training our client's B2B sales staff on these new network security topics so they can sell their products to customers from a security standpoint. As an Iskander Business Partner, we handle the instructional design for a suitable training format, and we are looking for a subject matter expert in secure networking.
Tasks:
- Create a training concept for the sales staff of a B2B telecom provider in Germany on secure networking
- Identify and explain the technical topics considered relevant for the training
- Conduct interviews with our client to gather their requirements and expectations
- Develop the training concept in collaboration with our training expert
Requirements
- Very deep understanding of network security topics for a telecom provider (SASE, etc.)
- Ideally, experience in sales (how can sales sell these products?)
- Ideally, experience as a trainer, since trainings will be conducted after the concept phase (not part of the current request)
