For me, Makerspace Wiesbaden was from the very beginning much more than just an association. I was involved in the planning, organization and development already during the setup phase in 2016 and actively helped shape the Makerspace over several years. At first I served as a general board member, later as board member responsible for inventory and equipment.
It was exciting for me to see how a small idea with seven members and about 40 m² of workshop space grew into a lively Makerspace with around 150 members and more than 400 m² of space within four years.
We started with a wood and 3D printing area. Step by step, metalworking, electronics, IT, laser cutting, welding, media and design, training and presentation areas, as well as a coworking area, were added.
For me, this was a truly special experience. I was able to bring together technology, creativity, organization, collaborative work, building new structures and my craft skills all in one place.
If something like that comes up again somewhere, I would gladly be part of it again:-)

Creative Technologist, 3D Visualization Specialist and Animator with more than 25 years of experience in technical visualization, interactive media and AI-assisted workflows. IHK-certified vocational trainer.
I have worked both as an employee and freelancer in advertising agencies and game development studios, followed by 15 years running my own graphic design studio, Augenpulver.
My main focus is technical, scientific and commercial 3D visualization, animation, explainer videos and illustration, as well as VR/AR, interactive applications, games, presentation apps and digital prototypes.
I particularly enjoy working on technical, scientific and industrial subjects. My technical background and personal interest in technology and science help me understand complex products, processes and systems quickly. I also find it easy to communicate and work directly with engineers and technical specialists during project development.
I then translate complex information into clear images, animations, presentations and interactive applications. For me, a solution should not only look good. It should also work well, be carefully thought through and communicate complex information clearly to its intended audience.
For more than two years, I have been working intensively with AI tools, generative AI and agent-based workflows. I use different AI systems, coding tools and AI agents to improve and support different parts of my work.
This includes developing my own tools and plugins, texture generation, idea development, project structuring, automation of sequential workflows, content refinement, scripting and using AI as a learning tool.
I also have many years of experience in project management, team coordination, budgeting, training and coaching, as well as experience teaching at universities.
