• Analysing management accounts at branch level and writing commentaries on variances

• Intercompany reconciliation with the sister trading company
• Filing the VAT return
• Preparation of the draft annual accounts and the supporting schedules
• Preparation of the quarterly management accounts
• Review monthly payroll and pension computations

Responsible for processing and initiating invoices including resolving queries, approval and payment remotely. Reporting to the Finance Director.

• Digitising the processing of purchase and sales invoices while maintaining internal controls

• Maintaining the accounting and finance functions remotely during the COVID19 shutdown

• Preparation of monthly cash flow report

• Reconciling and filing VAT returns and EC sales list

• Supervising the bank reconciliation and payment process

• Managing the HMRC, ONS and statutory reporting process

• Credit controls

• Preparing the monthly management accounts

• Managing the integration of the company into the group system reporting

• Converting the accounting system to accept multicurrency

• System development to integrate sales invoices into the system
