For the Amazon Prime Video series “The Summit” (Banijay Productions Germany), I worked for ten days as a Camera Operator in the mountains of New Zealand’s South Island. Together with the editorial and sound teams, I accompanied the candidates in the camp in the evenings and mornings, capturing their dynamics, conversations and emotions. During the night, I shot timelapses that tell the story of the landscape and the rhythm of the production. The shoot was filmed on the Sony FX6.

The conditions were demanding: daily helicopter flights to the camp, night shifts and overnight stays directly at the location. The biggest challenge was reacting to new situations within seconds. In a reality format, there are no second chances; decisive moments have to work the first time. This sharpened my sense of timing and visual composition under pressure.

I worked on set in a team of more than 40 people, bilingually in German and English with an Australian-German crew. The experience shows what I bring: resilience under extreme conditions, reliability in large production structures and an eye for genuine, unscripted moments, whether for streaming, documentaries or outdoor formats.

• I took on leading roles in various projects from pre-production through post-production and successfully contributed creative ideas.
• I also established and strengthened an international collaboration with New Zealand.
