An AI team at the client is looking for a Backend/DevOps Engineer to support the setup and operation of the infrastructure as well as the technical implementation. The goal is to integrate the open-source AI platform „Erato“ and host it in the Microsoft Azure cloud.

• Rebuilding and configuring Azure Kubernetes clusters for staging and production environments

Digitization of investment funding applications in Rhineland-Palatinate for the current funding period

• Newly developing a framework to create synergies between the processes.
• Developing the following types of applications within a project: funding application, amendment application and payment application.

• Close cooperation with the Directorate-General for Supervision and Services for seamless integration into existing processes.
• Implementing notices and checklists using Jasper Reports.

A release management system for the vehicle was built for the client, documenting all released vehicle applications together with their instructions. The system was able to distinguish between different versions (vehicle and instructions). It enabled updates to be easily installed on the vehicle (both offline and OTA).

• Designing and implementing a relational database and various REST services to meet the business requirements.
• Setting up GitLab CI/CD jobs to perform application updates.

Using 'Over the Air' updates, the client was able to update vehicle applications together with an instruction. Various teams and systems were integrated to expand the automation chain.

• Defining the process for assigning instructions to vehicles in the Docker Registry
• Integrating multiple REST services into GitLab for the proper storage of Docker images
• Integration testing of the extended release process

It was important for the client to provide a backend service in China for emergencies, ensuring that a vehicle's GPS data could not leave the country. This was a legal requirement of the Chinese government.

Modularization of the existing middleware and migration to a microservices architecture. The 'Savings Goals' functionality was migrated first to validate the target architecture.
