Prototype of 3D City Viewer based on Unreal Engine 4
JLL
In part 2 of the 3D City Viewer project, a prototype was implemented as a proof of concept for the objectives of part 1, using UE4, C++ code and Blueprints. The goal was to optimize the existing solution in terms of rendering and feedback performance and to improve the quality of the 3D scene.
The customer was then presented with an offer for a new standalone implementation.
This tool is being developed for real estate agents in the United States.
In addition, data conversion tools based on both Win32 API and OpenGL, as well as Python, were maintained, adapted and extended.
The 3D assets / content are provided by another external company.

ANS
Development Phase 2 of a PCB Viewer (CAM / CAD application), using Qt 5.9 as the application framework and GUI and OpenGL as the 3D renderer, for the company ANS from Hesse, Germany.
As Software Architect and Developer, I was responsible for the specification (which I had created at an earlier stage), design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
For the UI, I used Qt version 5.7 and later 5.9. The 3D geometric data was rendered using OpenGL.
The 3D objects were loaded from Obj files and rendered in an interactive 3D scene, with options to show/hide, move, rotate, and mirror objects.
Both orthogonal and perspective views were supported.
The application compiled and ran on both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu).
This is the final development for version 1.x.
